Faculty Appointment to Shenandoah University

Eric Byrd has been appointed to the faculty of Shenandoah University as the new jazz piano instructor.

Joining bandmate and best friend Alphonso Young, Jr on the SU faculty, Byrd replaces longtime department chair and author Robert Larson.  He has retired after 40 years.

A nationwide search resulted in Byrd’s appointment.  He will begin teaching in the fall of 2021.
